Your home for an Italian holiday

House to rent in Santa Maria del Cedro

Breakfast on the terrace can last a little longer. The sea can wait, and lunchtime is up to you. Cedromare is your home for the holidays, in the seaside part of Santa Maria del Cedro.

House address: Via degli Ulivi 213B, 87020 Santa Maria del Cedro (CS), Calabria, Italy.

Three terraces and time outdoors

Cedromare has three terraces. Settle in with your morning coffee, take a book outside and linger a little after dinner. Between the beach and sightseeing, it is good to have somewhere you simply want to sit for a while.

After the beach, you can rinse off under the outdoor shower. A small convenience you appreciate after a day by the sea.

The kitchen and shared meals

The kitchen and small dining area are on the ground floor. Make breakfast the way you like it and sit down together. It is pleasant to talk about the day ahead while no one is in a hurry yet.

Bring something local back to your holiday kitchen. Our guide to restaurants and delis has places to eat and shop, including Calabrian products to try at home.

Air conditioning in summer and heating out of season

The house has gas heating, and all rooms are air-conditioned. Autumn and winter days here are different from summer days on the beach. There is time for small towns, seaside walks and coming home ready for a warm dinner.

When you stay longer, you do not have to see everything at once. You can return to a town you enjoyed a few days later or postpone an outing if the weather is not right. At Cedromare, there is room for an ordinary day with a book and some cooking together too.

A holiday home near Scalea

Cedromare is in the seaside part of Santa Maria del Cedro, near Scalea. You can spend one day walking through Scalea’s old town and along the shore by Torre Talao, then the next on the beach at Santa Maria del Cedro. Back home, sit on one of the three terraces and plan the following day. Diamante, Cirella and the Orsomarso mountains are also nearby. What to see in Scalea.

You can travel by car, train or coach, or fly via Lamezia Terme or Naples. Our guide to getting here helps you join the stages of the journey. It also covers the final stretch from the station or stop to the house and explains how to arrange a pick-up.

If you enjoy mixing beach days with longer outings, explore the Orsomarso mountains and Pollino. Our day trips by car include a valley, rafting and a summit hike. Each day ends with a return to the same seaside base.

How to prepare your parcel

  1. Check the destination and point. You can arrange a parcel from Poland to Italy through Szybkie Nadania InPost. Choose the destination country and a point available for that particular service. Travellers within Italy can check domestic shipments on InPost Direct. For other countries, check the route’s availability in the carrier’s form.
  2. Measure and pack your things. Put clothes in a sturdy cardboard box. If you are sending a suitcase, protect it with a cardboard box too. Weigh and measure the finished parcel, including its packaging, then compare the result with the limits for your chosen service.
  3. Time the shipment to fit your stay. Check the estimated transit time. Collect the parcel from the point named in the InPost notification, within the deadline given in that message.
  4. Prepare for the return. To send a parcel from Italy to Poland with InPost International, you need a printed label. Have it ready before visiting a point that handles your chosen service. You can also check the Italy–Poland route on InPost Easy by selecting both countries in the form.

What about your purchases from Calabria? A parcel can also be useful for souvenirs, provided the chosen service allows them to be carried. Do not send wine or other alcohol through InPost International. Before buying the service, ask the carrier whether you can send olive oil and other liquid products. Details are in the current InPost conditions and list of exclusions.

Below are the three closest points based on the road routes checked, plus a point in Diamante you could visit during an outing.

Bicycles for short outings

Bicycles will be available for guests. Sometimes a short ride is enough to see something new in an area you already know. Choose a route that suits your energy and mood, with time for a stop along the way.

CCTV and alarm system

The house has an alarm system. CCTV is used to protect the building and covers part of the garden and the terraces beside the entrance doors. Signs on the property indicate its presence.
